Maxima is India’s first 360° Health Plan which provides cover for both inpatient and outpatient medical expenses. The in-patient hospitalization expenses such as room rent, boarding expenses, operation theatre charges, intensive care unit charges, doctors fees, surgeon fees, specialist fees, medical practitioner, anesthesia, cost of medicines and drugs, blood, oxygen, diagnostic procedures, cost of pacemaker, etc.
It also cover pre and post hospitalization, domiciliary treatment, day care procedures, daily cash for choosing shared accommodation, organ donors expenses, emergency ambulance charges, daily cash for accompanying an insure child, maternity expenses, newborn baby cover, etc.
The maxima offers outpatient treatment on cashless basis at network hospitals. It includes includes outpatient dental treatment, spectacles, contact lenses, annual health check up, etc. It also covers pre-existing conditions under outpatient treatment.
The plan also gives access to cashless hospitalization treatment in over more than 4000 network hospitals across India. For inpatient treatment, it offers cumulative bonus of 10% for every claim free year, subject to a maximum of 50% of the inpatient sum insured. For outpatient treatment, it offers the advantage of carry forward benefits of 50% of any unutilized entitlement certificates to next policy year. The premium paid is eligible for tax benefit under section 80D of the Income Tax Act,1961.
For additional coverage, it offers additional critical illness cover which covers 8 specified critical illnesses.
The minimum entry level age is 18 years to 65 years. The sum insured is Rs.3,00,000/-. The plan comes with it’s lifelong renewal feature.
