What would happen to the money spent on a vacation for you and your family if you had a family emergency? I had to deal with that scenario when my grandmother passed away. I booked a vacation for my family to go to Orlando, Florida for six day. I booked the flight, rental car, and hotel with a very popular online company. The total cost of the trip was two thousand six hundred dollars. I was offered travel cover before I finalized my trip but I declined. I did not read the fine print about travel covers and how I would be protected if I was unable to take my family on vacation.

Once I found out my grandmother passed away, I called the company to change my reservations. I was able to change my hotel and rental car reservation with no problems.
